Bianca holds a degree in Virology and Human Genetics from the University of Tübingen. She began her career at Novartis in Basel, working on new therapies for HIV, before completing a PhD at University College London (UCL), where her research focused on novel surface proteins of Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus.
She then relocated to Australia to join Johnson & Johnson, focusing on new drug targets in oncology. Throughout her scientific career, Bianca's interest has always been in drug development and the emerging biotech industry.
In 2001, Bianca joined Platinum Asset Management, focusing on investing in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences sectors. She has since managed the Platinum International Healthcare Fund for the past two decades, drawing on her scientific background to identify healthcare companies with strong fundamentals.
