Andrew is stuck in a boomer's body and wishes he wasn't. He has worked in London, New York and Australia, as a stockbroker and funds manager as well as a principal investor. In the past he was well known for his analysis of financial companies, before joining AMP and then heading the Rothschild Australian equity business. Over the past 20 years he has sat on numerous small public company boards and is known for his love of corporate history, especially in Australia. Just over three years ago he brought together his experience to create Dynasty Trust, which exclusively invests in global companies with controlling shareholders. He is strongly valuation oriented with a strong emphasis on capital management.
He writes in detail about these companies – which are mainly in Europe - with a free substack and the well-known Dynasty Trust Quarterly Reports. Andrew reckons travel is the best drug, especially if mixed with football. He hopes to live long enough to combine the two and attend a “SuperClasico” in one of his favourite cities and see Manchester United win the English Premier League again. He has three millennial offspring and now a couple of Generation Beta granddaughters.
